We are a bit late with this single as it was released back in March 2016 but we wanted you to have a listen. Contrary to music industry wisdom, good music remains good music even after its release.

Venus Demilo are made up of Tom Anderson, Reuben Hobson, Christopher Connor and Ryan Williams and come from Liverpool. They have been busy playing gigs around the UK and making a name for themselves on BBC Introducing. “Sinking Ships” follows the equally brilliant “Sophia” also on Amazing Tunes.

Maybe we should start a new section on our Amazing Tunes slot “slipped through the net.” This debut single from Banfi came out in March 2015 and slapped wrists all round here for not picking it up sooner.

Joe Banfi is from Northwhich, Cheshire and has been making music for over 15 years. A lot of attention was paid to him as a solo artist, then last year he joined up with Aaron Graham and Christopher McCuaig to form Banfi.

This year they have been in the recording studio, so now we’re waiting in expectation of their next release. We promise we won’t miss them again, they are brilliant!

Thea Stapnes is from Oslo, Norway and has been releasing material since 2011. Her single “Run” featured heavily on Norwegian radio in 2015.

Her latest single “Follow the River” was written last summer and recorded at Lydriket Studio, Bergen in collaboration with Skar and Odd Martin Skålnes (AURORA). Thea was inspired to write the song after watching the Robin Hood movie starring Russell Crowe. What was stuck in her mind was the quote “Rise and rise again until lambs become lions”. She knew she had to use this very brilliant sentence in a song and started writing at once.

 ‘Follow The River’ is a powerful song about perseverance and never giving up. It’s about not getting lost, trusting in something good that keeps you walking towards your goal. It’s clear from this release, is that Thea is one step closer to accomplishing her own musical goals.

The single is out now and available via iTunes or Spotify.

“As Long As” comes from her latest EP of the same name. She’s already received strong backing from Amazing Radio and with her incredibly beautiful and distinctive voice its easy to see why.

Billie is confirmed for SXSW this year, and we are sure you’ll be hearing lots more from Billie in the future.
